sunday Aug 28, 9 days old

Well Tegan went to her first day of church. She was dressed beautifully and behaved well.
actually she was asleep for all of it but everyone else enjoyed having her there. We love staying with family here in virginia but hope to be going home soon.
Her umbilical cord fell off today, i guess that means she can bathe soon!

Saturday August 27th 8 days old

Well the DR. says things look great. She is gaining weight and eating well. Tegan does have a little issue with her umbilical cord...yuck! it's just really thick/ deep so after it falls off the inside will need to dry out and fall off too... So it's just sponge baths now.

one week old!! Friday August 26th

A little sponge bath before the Dr. visit revealed curls and that her hair has lightened up a bunch. Tegan's color is also better and not yellow any more. Now she is just baby red!

day 5 thursday August 25th

Well things are going great so far...thomas had to go back to Utah and we are still in Virginia. Baby's name is Tegan Michelle Whitby she has officially been measured in at 21 3/4 inches long and is almost back up to birth weight. She is doing very well ! Tegan sleeps almost through the night and usually only wakes once to eat and poop. She is so quiet and content and happy. She smiles in her sleep alot. We love her so much and are looking forward to when she can go home to Utah.

day 4 Wednesday August 24th

We took a long drive to go visit the attorney's office today, And She slept so well! (too well) She was up ALL night!

Day 2 Monday August 21 HOME DAY!

Baby had a little case of jondice and had to stay over night all alone in the hospital. I went to visit her for a few hours and fed her ... and now she is going home (at least to the Trasks for now.)

oh how cute...

day 1 in the hospital

We arrived to the hospital on Sunday August 21 st to meet our new baby girl. She had tons of straight black hair and huge fingers. When I first saw her I mentioned how big she was and that she looked longer than the Dr. had recorded...she was sweet and did not cry much. We held her tons and immediately knew how strong she was. She has a very sweet temperment!
